India is setting its sights beyond the mature chip technologies it is only now beginning to manufacture domestically. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw says the country wants to reach 7nm to 3nm semiconductor technology within eight years, while expanding chip design, packaging, research and engineering talent to support the ambition.
