Weeks after the assassination of top Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr, new details about how he was killed have emerged. Shukr was killed due to a breach of the group's communications, the Wall Street Journal reported. The WSJ report says Shukr received a phone call from an unknown person to go to the 7th floor of the building where an Israeli airstrike would later kill him. Bringing him five floors higher to his apartment likely made it easier for Israel to target him, a Hezbollah official told the Journal. The Hezbollah official also told WSJ that the Lebanese group and Iran are probing the intelligence failure.
